AMP Hall of Fame

Association of Music Photographers Hall of Fame

2021 Inaugural Class

Every Hall of Fame needs a starting point. Over the past decades there have been numerous outstanding contributors to the music photography profession that will be inducted to the AMP Hall of Fame, but those elected in its first class will always hold a special place in the Hall’s history.

The competition for entrance to the Association of Music Photographers Hall of Fame will never be stiffer than in the first year when the field of candidates essentially includes anyone who has made a significant contribution to the profession over its long and storied history.

So just as the five initial inductees into Cooperstown have a special place in baseball’s archives, so too will the five outstanding achievers who will be elected to the 2021 inaugural class of the Association of Music Photographers Hall of Fame.

There is a lengthy nomination process with two rounds of voting by AMP professional members that will select a truly outstanding group to blaze the trail for those that will follow. The five represent photojournalists who have made immense contributions to the field of music photography.

While the full voting results will remain confidential, we will reveal the final selection of the inaugural class.

The first class includes present and past photographers eligible to be recognized for their contributions.

Voting commences in January 2021 and ends on August 31. Enshrinement and awards will be announced on October 23, 2021.
